Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 19, 2026
ScrollCap is a product of Royal Family CRM (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the ScrollCap browser extension and the website scrollcap.com handle, and what we do with it. The short version: the extension keeps your captures on your own computer, and we never see them.
1. The ScrollCap extension
What stays on your computer
Everything you capture with ScrollCap — screenshots, PDFs, your markup, and your “My captures” history — is stored only in your browser on your own computer. It is never uploaded to us or to anyone else. You can delete any capture at any time from “My captures”, and removing the extension deletes all of it.
Settings
Your ScrollCap settings (for example, your preferred file format or whether “Hide private info” is on) are saved with your browser’s built-in storage. If you have browser sync turned on, your browser may sync these settings between your own devices through your Google or Microsoft account. Settings never include your captures.
What we do not do
- We do not collect, store, sell, or share your personal information or browsing activity.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking in the extension.
- We do not load or run code from outside the extension.
- “Hide private info”, “Hide things first” and “Clean capture” all run on your computer. The page’s text is checked locally and never sent anywhere.
Why the extension asks for each permission
- Active tab and scripting — to read the size of the page you choose to capture, scroll it, hide private details or pop-ups, and show the selection tools.
- Debugger — to use the browser’s own page renderer for clean full-page captures and searchable PDFs. It is used only on the tab you are capturing, only while the capture runs, and is released right after. The browser shows a notice while this is happening.
- Tabs — to capture all open tabs when you choose “All open tabs”, and to name files after the page title.
- Downloads — to save your captures as files.
- Storage and unlimited storage — to keep your captures and settings on your computer.
- Context menus — to add ScrollCap options to your right-click menu.
Chrome Web Store User Data Policy
The use of information received through the extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Future features
If we add optional features in the future that need to send information off your computer (for example, AI tools or shareable links), they will be clearly labeled, turned off unless you choose to use them, and this policy will be updated before they launch. If we add paid plans, payments will be handled by a payment processor; we will not see or store your full card number.
2. The scrollcap.com website
Early access sign-ups
If you join the early access list, we collect your first name (optional) and your email address. We use them only to email you about ScrollCap — for example, when it launches in the Chrome Web Store and when important features are released. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
Sign-ups are stored in our customer management system, which is run for us by a service provider (HighLevel / LeadConnector). Our service providers may only use your information to provide their services to us.
Technical information and cookies
Like most websites, our hosting, security and form providers may automatically receive basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the page you viewed, and may use essential cookies to deliver the page, keep it secure, and prevent spam. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share your information for advertising.
3. Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any email.
- Ask us what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing support@scrollcap.com. We will respond within 30 days.
- Depending on where you live (for example California, Virginia, or the European Union), you may have additional rights under local law. We will honor them.
4. How long we keep information
Early access sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, or until they are no longer needed for the purpose above. Captures and settings in the extension stay on your computer until you delete them or remove the extension.
5. Security
We use reputable service providers and reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and keep what we collect to a minimum.
6. Children
ScrollCap and scrollcap.com are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date. If a change is significant, we will give clear notice before it takes effect.
