- 2Click the puzzle-piece icon in your browser toolbar and pin ScrollCap so it’s always visible.
- 3Open any web page and click the ScrollCap icon, then choose “Entire page”.
- 4When the capture finishes, use the quick-action card to Copy, Save, make a PDF, or Mark up.
Keyboard shortcuts

On a Mac, Alt is the Option (⌗) key. To change shortcuts, open chrome://extensions/shortcuts (or edge://extensions/shortcuts in Edge).
Common questions and fixes
Yes. For clean full-page captures and searchable PDFs, ScrollCap briefly uses Chrome’s built-in page renderer on the tab you’re capturing. Chrome shows that notice while it works and removes it when the capture finishes. Nothing is collected or sent anywhere.
Browsers don’t allow any extension to capture their own pages — like settings pages, the Chrome Web Store, or other extensions. Open a regular website and it will work. To capture files on your computer (file:// pages), open chrome://extensions, click Details under ScrollCap, and turn on “Allow access to file URLs”.
ScrollCap automatically finds the scrolling panel in apps like Gmail and CRMs, including panels inside embedded frames. If a page still doesn’t look right, open ScrollCap Settings and change “Full-page method” to “Scroll and stitch”, then try again — and email us the page address so we can improve it.
Another extension may already be using it. Open chrome://extensions/shortcuts and set a different shortcut for ScrollCap.
Every capture is kept in “My captures” (in the ScrollCap menu) on your own computer. Files you download go to your Downloads folder in a “ScrollCap” folder.
Turn on “Hide private info” in the ScrollCap menu to cover emails, phone numbers, SSNs and ID numbers automatically, or choose “Hide things first” and click anything you want covered. Always review a capture before you share it.
No. Your captures stay on your computer. See our Privacy Policy for details.
