Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Royal Family CRM (“we”, “us”) for your use of the ScrollCap browser extension and the website scrollcap.com (together, “ScrollCap”). By installing or using ScrollCap, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use ScrollCap.
1. Using ScrollCap
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the ScrollCap extension for personal or business purposes, in line with these Terms. The free features of ScrollCap are free to use.
2. Your captures belong to you
Screenshots, PDFs and markup you create with ScrollCap are yours. They are stored on your own computer, and we do not claim any ownership of them. You are responsible for keeping your own backups.
3. Acceptable use
You agree that you will:
- Only capture, save, and share content you have the right to, and respect copyrights, trademarks, and other people’s privacy.
- Follow all laws that apply to you, including privacy and data-protection laws (for example, rules about health or financial information).
- Follow the terms of the websites you capture.
- Not use ScrollCap to harass anyone, collect people’s personal information without permission, or break any law.
- Not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute ScrollCap, except as the law allows.
4. Privacy tools are aids, not guarantees
“Hide private info”, “Hide things first”, the blur tool, and “Clean capture” help you cover sensitive details and remove clutter, but they may not catch everything. Always review a capture before you share it. You are responsible for what you share.
5. Paid plans
ScrollCap’s core features are free. If we offer paid plans (such as “Pro”), the price and what is included will be shown clearly before you buy, along with any additional terms for that plan. Payments will be processed by a third-party payment processor.
6. Changes to ScrollCap
We may add, change, or remove features, or stop offering ScrollCap, at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice of major changes.
7. Third-party websites and services
ScrollCap works on websites run by other people, and the scrollcap.com website uses third-party service providers. We are not responsible for third-party websites, their content, or their services.
8. No warranty
ScrollCap is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that ScrollCap will be error-free, uninterrupted, or able to capture every website perfectly.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Royal Family CRM will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of ScrollCap. Our total liability for any claim relating to ScrollCap will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for ScrollCap in the 12 months before the claim, or $50.
10. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold harmless Royal Family CRM from claims arising from your misuse of ScrollCap or your violation of these Terms or of anyone else’s rights.
11. Ending your use
You can stop using ScrollCap at any time by removing the extension. We may suspend or end access to ScrollCap if you violate these Terms. Sections 2, 4 and 8–13 continue to apply after your use ends.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date. If you keep using ScrollCap after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
